2 Foreign Teachers in August-September 2015 (candidates who can only arrive earlier or later should also be considered).
Age Range (min~max)
24-45 Local government requires 2 years POSTGRADUATE work experience (i.e. BA obtained in 2013). ***Ideal candidate is 25-30 years old***
Degree Request Yes Must have a degree. BA obtained 2013 or before.
Nationality Request
Both Not native but at native speaker fluency is acceptable. Native is best.
Teaching Certificate Request Yes Must have or be willing to get a BRIDGE TEFL online certificate or equivalent (minimum), or higher e.g. Cert TESOL Level 5 (desirable).
Working Experience Request
2 years postgraduate employment (minimum).
Teaching Experience Request No Experience not necessary but desirable.
Local Foreign Affairs Bureau Specific Requests
1.Mother-tongue English
2.Body Condition – without infectious disease or any severe illness, without condition that may hamper ability to effectively teach children alone (e.g. epilepsy)
3.Passport expiry date must be at least 13 months calculated from the date when the foreign teacher enters China
4.Willing to get a Criminal Background Check if needs be. 5. BA obtained 2013 or earlier 6. 2 years postgraduate employment in any field.
Foreign Teacher Basic Salary/month (Net) 7,500RMB/month* For the first two months a probationary salary of 7,000.00 RMB will be paid. After this, the foreign teacher’s salary will be 7,500.00RMB per month (net).***(Teachers with 1+ year experience can expect 8,000RMB (7500RMB in first 2 months)
Accommodation is free. Electricity, heating, water bills etc. are deducted from this sum when the teacher is paid (last day of every month).
Flight Allowance (RMB) and Terms 10,000.00RMB/ per year* 1. If the teacher arrives at Ningbo airport, the flight allowance is 10,000RMB and a free airport pick-up by the DoS/Senior Teacher is provided. 2. If the teacher arrives at Shanghai airport and requires a pick-up, this is no problem but the flight allowance would be 9,000RMB. Paid on the successful completion of the contract in either circumstances.
Accommodation
Single Room 1.Fully furnished shared/individual apartment (depending on circumstances on the teacher’s arrival). Apartments house between 1-3 foreign teachers. 2. Individual rooms (with a double/queen sized bed); fully fitted bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room; TV in each apartment; AC; Western style matrtress available.
Other Allowances or Benefits Yes 1. Pre-arrival Visa and health check on arrival is paid for by the teacher, but reimbursed after the 2 month probation period. 2. Ongoing training, development and professional support 3. Cambridge University TKTs administered for free. 4. Pay increase on renewal of contract. 5.Promotions available (based on merit). 6.Chinese lessons available.
