We are looking for a motivated and experienced Game Designer to join our international team in Beijing, China. You will be responsible for managing the design of all game systems and features from pre-production to live release in our award-winning flagship title Uberstrike.

We expect you to have prior experience in game design and most importantly be addicted to building something amazing for our players!

Requirements:

Create innovative & fun game features that are designed to improve customer acquisition, engagement and monetization.
Working with the engineering and art teams to effectively implement new features and systems
Live and breath the game system, economics and mechanics, constantly tweaking and tuning them to optimize gameplay and the item economy
Providing clear feature documentation, wireframes and prototypes
Analyzing realtime data and player feedback to continually optimize the game experience
Assist in writing of game editorial content, including fiction, descriptions and tutorials
You have at least 2 years experience and have shipped a title in the game designer role
Enjoy working in a team, educating and mentoring others in game design processes
Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Lead Gameplay Engineer

Cmune is looking for an experienced Lead Gameplay Engineer with outstanding skills in gameplay, physics, animation and network coding. In this role, you will work closely with the Technical Director and a team of hardcore programmers on our award winning flagship title UberStrike. You will be regularly involved in the game design process and your code will be used by millions of players.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3+ years working as a lead engineer or equivalent
At least one AAA title shipped in a lead role, ideally an FPS or MMO
Excel at designing and implementing systems to support the game i.e animation, combat, AI, networking
and physics
You enjoy profiling and performance tuning code to remove bottlenecks
Excellent skills in 3D math, trigonometry and linear algebra
Have experience with multiplayer network architecture and protocol design
You’ve used Unity3D, or another AAA engine on a shipping title
A strong background in C / C++ and C#. Mono/.Net experience is ideal
You are committed to code quality, documentation and effective testing procedures
Enjoy playing and making games and have a good understand of what makes a game fun

Technical Director

Cmune is looking for a Technical Director to lead an international team of hard core developers in Beijing, China. You will work closely with the Producer and Art Director on our hit title UberStrike, and will also be involved in planning and developing the Cmune Platform, our 3D social gaming API and SDK. Your task will be to plan and manage all technical aspects of development at Cmune and be actively involved in the game creation process.

Requirements:

Lead the development team in Beijing
Work closely with the product owner and producer to define the direction of the product
Defines the technological strategy with the development team: pipeline, tools, and key development procedures
Evaluates both code and development processes, identifying strengths, problem areas, and plans for improving performance
Identifies weak software systems that need code improvement and schedules corrective action, when possible
Evaluates interview candidates for technical positions
Participate in the preparation of development plans and details of resources needed for production
Oversee all aspects of the project to ensure a level of development that meets the industry’s highest standards
Creates automated test process for system and game features, where possible, and contributes to the build system
Participates in infrastructure planning for both development and production systems
Involved in actual development a few days a week

As Technical Director your focus is on prioritizing and coordinating the development teams tasks, working with the department leads and ensuring on time delivery of features. You will also be expected to research, plan and implement software, techniques and processes that contribute to the development environment.
