Position:
Full-time, Beijing based Global Business Development Manager

Location:
Candidates must be in Beijing or have plans to be in Beijing immediately for an interview and for the position if selected.

Job specifications and responsibilities:
This role will evolve rapidly, growing with the organization and your interests. Responsibilities may change and will expand as we open new markets. This position is focused on remote sales, client service and business development (sourcing various travel service suppliers) for English language countries (U.S., UK, Europe, etc.)

-Contact and develop global clients and vendors (generally travel agencies, tour operators, etc.). This process will include selling to them, training them, and supporting them for sales and travel product development.
-Develop and refine sales and business development materials, mechanisms, monitoring systems, strategies and plans in conjunction with other Trekiz sales and BD colleagues.
-While this position may include some travel, the majority of the work will be remote development from Beijing at this stage. Therefore, you’ll need to be flexible regarding work hours as you’ll be addressing clients whose business hours vary from China’s.

Education and experience requirements:
-BA/BS degree with a strong academic record required.
-A track record of 1-3 yrs. of sales and client support experience with successful, proven performance.
-We’ll consider experienced professionals as well as exceptional people with professional experience who are still in the early stages of their careers.
-Language: native English language capabilities, or up to the standards of a native English language speaker. Chinese language ability is a plus, but not required.
-Desire to work in a startup environment
-Proactive with a strong work ethic and flexible work style. Ability to define, structure and implement projects.
-Exceptional writing and communication skills. Interest and ability to bridge Asian and Western cultures in the workplace.
-Creative, enjoy formulating new sales and promotional ideas
-Ability and desire to research, learn and, apply new sales and BD techniques
-Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
-Professional references will be required
