The interns will be looking for international buyers for our company products ‘cufflinks’.

We hope that the new interns will use different creative methods
to find buyers from all over the world. We are looking for people from:

– Germany, France, U.S, Australia, U.K, Italy, Russia, Spain, Scandinavian
countries and Japan.
– You should be fluent in English.
– Knowing mandarin is not
compulsory but it would be a bonus.
– We require the new interns to have obtained or obtaining a degree/degree equivalent.

Any disciplines are welcome, but we are particulary looking for people who are studying or studied business or jewellery related subjects.

Salary and accommodation: Lunch/dinner are provided and free housing near the office. The salary starts from 150 USD and it
would increase up to 350 USD plus bonus according to time and performance.

Duration: 3, 6 or 12 months.

Leading US manufacturer in the home textiles industry – focused on natural and synthetic filled ‘basic’ bedding- servicing the retail and hospitality channels. Proficient Technical Individual is responsible for supporting the marketing and product development process in China. Analyzes and manages technical specs and product samples. Communicates with internal and external stakeholders. Works directly with product development USA (marketing) and sourcing to ensure accurate execution of product development for both conceptual and sold programs. This position will be the liaison between the vendors and sourcing partners in China and needs to maintain the flow of information between factories and internal departments at both USA and China offices.

Reports to: Director of China Division

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing and/or Creative/Design field.
• 5 years of past textiles and/or design, weaving, finishing and construction experience. Experience in the home textiles industry is a plus.
• Ability to distinguish/match colors and resolve difference with dyeing mills
• Ability to work in a flat organization and manage multiple responsibilities at the same time is a must.
• Excellent communication skills
• Must have excellent verbal and written English and verbal Chinese skills
• Strong product, merchandising, sourcing and business knowledge with experience in supporting US market is preferred
• Knowledge of product cost structure for textile industry – fabric, polyester fiber, and packaging components
• Self-motivated, energetic, able to work independently
• Travel in China. Weekly travel, as required, to visit weaving, dyeing and finishing mills and cut and sew factories. 3-4 times annually travel to visit trade shows such as Canton Fair or Shanghai Textile Fair.
• Relentless effort and focus to prioritize and execute agreed to strategies in bringing products to market
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues with factory on timely basis

Core job functions:
Manage Technical Design Process
o Reviews and manages technical spec packs for new and sold product development
o Manages internal design processes from China division
o Suggest options when reviewing design specifications against factory limitations.
o Review prototypes for aesthetics, overall dimensions, hand feel, functionality, general workmanship.
o In partnership with Technical Design USA, this role is responsible for:
 Review and approval of lab dips and strike offs
 Review and approval of fabric specifications (finishing, yarns, constructions, weave,
 fiber content)
 Review and approval of quilting and construction components
 Review and approval of design detail elements (embroidery, trims)
 Review and approval of graphic and packaging design details (bags, inserts, labels,
 displays)
o Maintain specification changes and communicate any updates needed throughout development process.

Provides Market Research
o Attend Chinese textile fairs and provide feedback on new innovations and ideas.
o Work directly with finishing, weaving and dying mills to gain additional understanding on
o Development ideas and limitations.
o Have a clear understanding of equipment capabilities and how that affects design. (needs to be able to manage that communication back to the USA designers)
o Constant communication with current vendors on development ideas and newness
