Position Overview

Foreign Trainers are responsible for providing a highly engaging and effective learning experience to learners aged 2-12 through the delivery of innovative and immersive Disney educational content. The Foreign Trainer is responsible for ensuring measurable academic results in a fun and lively learning environment, delivering an outstanding service experience to learners and parents, and collaborating closely with their Assistant Trainer.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Deliver curriculum with energy and enthusiasm, using immersive learning techniques such as story-telling, singing, dialogue and role playing in combination with formal exercises
• Communicate with learners in an engaging, age-appropriate way, ensuring that language learning is both effective and fun
• Measure progress and educational results through the delivery of formal and informal assessments and progress reports
• Collect audio & visual portfolio material of learners’ work and progress during lessons to share with parents
• Partner closely with Assistant Trainers to maintain strong relationships with parents, ensuring high level of program engagement and outstanding service, by communicating both in person and through our online portal
• Contribute to Center’s success by leading engaging demonstrations of Disney English lessons for potential learners and their parents
• Participate in various marketing and referral events to drive learner enrollment as needed
• Ensure classes are run efficiently and start and end, as scheduled
• Prepare print materials, technology and supplemental materials prior to the start of each lesson
• Deliver private lessons as required, due to learner absences or for learners that are falling behind
• Contribute to overall Center success by ensuring consistently high learner renewal rates, through the delivery of great service and measurable learner progress

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• 24 months of post-bachelor’s education experience
• English language fluency including but not limited to: proper grammar, sentence structure, word tense, subject-verb agreement, and proper use of adjectives and adverbs
• Demonstration of a neutral accent, clear pronunciation, good intonation and English language rhythm
• A passion for educating young learners and a keen interest in their development
• Ability to command the attention of large groups of children in an engaging and compelling manner
• Energetic, enthusiastic, animated approach to storytelling and delivering content to learners
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-change work environment
• Professionalism in oral and written communications
• Customer-service oriented with creative problem solving skills
• Ability to relocate to China for a 12 to 15-month contract

Desired Qualifications:

• Internationally recognized TEFL or TESOL certification
• Experience traveling internationally and/or working abroad

Compensation and Benefits:

• 10,000 – 11,000 RMB monthly salary

• 24 months of post-bachelor’s teaching experience with students/children in an educational, recreational or camp setting. Within this experience, a minimum of 12 months of consecutive employment is required.

Position Overview

• Ensure high quality classroom delivery by auditing classes and reviewing individual Trainer performance, providing timely, constructive and comprehensive feedback to each Trainer.
• Communicate to the academic staff any changes related to the academic delivery or content as well as participation in sales/marketing events.
• Resolve any academic and/or operational complaints related to the delivery or content of the Disney English program that may arise from staff, parents or children.
• Conduct on-going academic staff meetings to focus on professional development and resolution of classroom issues with staff and learners.
• Oversee the placement of all children in the Disney English program in the Center and open new class slots for the sales team if and when demand requires.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team and Center Manager to develop and implement academic and sales events within the Center.
• Oversee the Center realia supplies including the maintenance, cleaning and replenishment of materials on an ongoing basis.
• Assist the Content Development team with future academic content based on the immediate results observed within the classroom.
• Ensure that comprehensive learner records are maintained by each trainer in both print and electronic format through occasional audits and on-going training of formal and informal assessments.

Job Qualifications
• 5 or more years relevant work experience preferred
• Internationally recognized TEFL or TESOL certification
• Exceptional native English pronunciation
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented capabilities
• Proven track record in team leadership and staff management

• Strong people skills with the ability to continually hire, train and manage staff

• Motivate Center academic staff to continue to develop the classroom training skills required to deliver both an extremely academically effective and engaging learning experience.
• Constantly monitor not only each enrolled child’s progress but also stay current on their and their parents’ satisfaction with the program as well as the aggregate results of the student body for the Center.
• Ensure high quality classroom delivery by auditing classes and reviewing individual Trainer performance, providing timely, constructive and comprehensive feedback to each Trainer.
• Communicate to the academic staff any changes related to the academic delivery or content as well as participation in sales/marketing events.
• Resolve any academic and/or operational complaints related to the delivery or content of the Disney English program that may arise from staff, parents or children.
• Conduct on-going academic staff meetings to focus on professional development and resolution of classroom issues with staff and learners.
• Oversee the placement of all children in the Disney English program in the Center and open new class slots for the sales team if and when demand requires.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team and Center Manager to develop and implement academic and sales events within the Center.
• Oversee the Center realia supplies including the maintenance, cleaning and replenishment of materials on an ongoing basis.
• Assist the Content Development team with future academic content based on the immediate results observed within the classroom.
• Ensure that comprehensive learner records are maintained by each trainer in both print and electronic format through occasional audits and on-going training of formal and informal assessments.

Job Qualifications
• 5 or more years relevant work experience preferred
• Internationally recognized TEFL or TESOL certification
• Exceptional native English pronunciation
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented capabilities
• Proven track record in team leadership and staff management
• Creative, self-motivated problem solver who can perform under pressure
• Strong people skills with the ability to continually hire, train and manage staff
• Bachelors degree required; advanced degrees preferred
• Able to commit to a minimum of a 12 month contract
• Able to stand for extended periods of time, squat and bend. Frequent lifting of one to five pounds and occasional lifting of up to 40-50 pounds is required.

Job Description of English Language Trainer

Position Overview
Disney English is looking for exceptional individuals to instruct children ages 2-12 at our Language Learning Centers throughout China. Trainers will use an innovative and immersive Disney program, leveraging Disney’s beloved characters, stories, songs, animation and other materials, to provide a highly engaging and effective premium learning experience.
The English Language Trainer reports to the Language Learning Director (LLD) in the Disney English Language Learning Center.

Main Responsibilities
• Become proficient in delivering the Disney English interactive content and comprehensive classroom/home delivery of Disney English including the “on-line” parent portal.
• Use scripted printed materials, multimedia and a variety of audio-visual aids. There is emphasis on dialogue, story-telling, singing and role-playing, but more formal exercises, language games and literature are also used.
• Work with local Assistant Trainers to ensure classes are run efficiently and start and end as scheduled.
• Prepare lessons, realia, print materials, technology and supplemental materials prior to the start of each class.
• Attend weekly meetings with the LLD to communicate all pertinent student and classroom management issues.
• Participate in outside of classroom academic, marketing and Center social events as needed
• Collect audio & visual portfolio evidence of language learner work during lessons.
• Provide private lessons to young language learners as required due to learner absences or for students that are falling behind the class.
• Deliver both formal and informal assessments and progress reports throughout the program and keep close oversight on all learner records.
• Interact with both parents and young language learners in a way that makes language learning fun, engaging and educational.
• With local Assistant Trainers, maintain strong communication with parents as to their children’s progress by means of the Teacher/Parent portal and ongoing communication during performances, phone calls and parent/teacher conferences.

Job qualifications
• Bachelors degree required
• Candidates should have at least 1 year experience teaching, but preferably 2 or more years experience teaching English to children.
• Candidates should be native English speakers
• Internationally recognized TEFL or TESOL certification
• Creativity and excitement to bring a unique personality to the Disney English classroom including talents in music, art, and performing arts.
• Able to commit to a minimum of a 12 month contract
• Able to stand for extended periods of time, squat and bend. Frequent lifting of one to five pounds and occasional lifting of up to 40-50 pounds is required.

Disney English is looking for the best and brightest educators to instruct children ages 2-12 in an intensive program at our Language Learning Centers throughout China. We’re growing at an exceptional rate, and have established learning centers in several cities including, Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Ningbo, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Suzhou, with centers in Dalian and Chengdu soon to come!

Trainers will follow an innovative and immersive Disney inspired program, leveraging state-of-the-art technology as well as Disney’s beloved characters and stories to provide students with a highly engaging and effective premium learning experience.

Once you complete our thorough training program, you will be proficient in delivering Disney English content. A variety of printed materials, multimedia tools and audio-visual aids that include formal exercises and language games will be provided in order to deliver a dynamic curriculum that emphasizes dialogue, story-telling, singing and role-playing.

Currently, we have the following positions available:
• Foreign Trainer: 2+ years of teaching experience, specifically with young learners
• Part Time Foreign Trainer: Must be able to commit to 20 hours/month

Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree required
• Candidates should have 2+ years post-graduate experience teaching young learners, ESL preferred
• Candidates should be native English speakers
• Internationally recognized TEFL or TESOL certification (ask us for help if you have not yet secured one)
• Creativity and excitement to engage with our learners in their lessons
• Talents in music, art, and theater are a huge plus
• Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds as required

Full Time Compensation Model:
• Generous and competitive salary commensurate with experience
• 3,000RMB – 4,350RMB monthly housing allowance (dependent on location)
• 7,000RMB training bonus
• Disney English will purchase flight to China, and provide a return Flight Allowance of 420RMB per month (maximum of 5000 RMB toward return flight)
• Health/Dental Insurance Premium Paid

Part Time Compensation Model:
• Flexible work schedule
• Most be able to commit to minimum of 20 hours per month
• Must be available on certain weekends
• Part Time Trainers are paid per teaching hour
