Dakai Literary Agency is a translation rights agency dedicated to French and Chinese languages books rights.
Established in Beijing, the agency represents French publisher’s books in China and Taiwan, and
Chinese and Taiwanese publisher’s books in France, aiming at selling the translation rights of this
titles.

Contract
Hong Kong Law permanent contract.

Location
Beijing, Shuangjin Area.

Description
The agent is in charge of representing and selling the translations rights of the titles of Auzou
Publishing, a French Children’s books publishing house, and in the following Asian countries: China,
Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macao, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia.
The agent will be responsible for prospecting Children’s books publishers in each of this countries and
expand partnerships (co-edition and rights sales) with the local publishers. You will have to update
and maintain a detailed customer database and maintain contact with potential clients.
The job will require travels.
You will be working independently, directly reporting to the Paris based Agency’s director.

Requirements
– Non-Chinese Passport
– Fluent in English; Good Mandarin communication skills; Basic skills in French and/or any other
Asian languages are an asset.
– University degree; 1-year experience in sales !eld
– A knowledge of the Book Industry and experience in the Publishing Trade are an asset.
– Excellent intercultural communication skills.
– Outgoing, dynamism; ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
– Good detailed organizational skills.
– Good Skills in Microsoft Of!ce; Basic skills in Adobe Indesign would be appreciated.

Salary
11,000RMB per month.
F Visa fees.
