Saongroup is a privately owned Irish Multinational with operations in fifteen different countries. The group operates primarily as an Online Job Advertising Medium with business interests in various diverse markets including Ireland, UK, US, China, South Africa, Central America and the Caribbean.

Saongroup currently has extensive operations across China and is seeking to further invest in a significant expansion of its China operations over the coming two years. We are currently seeking to recruit a senior experienced Chief Financial Officer to oversee all financial aspects of the Groups China operations. The successful candidate will report into and work closely with the China CEO and will partner with senior leadership team to develop and implement sound financial strategies across the business. In addition there will be a joint line of reporting responsibility into the Group CFO based in Ireland. The position would suit a senior finance executive with at least 5/7 years’ experience as CFO (or equivalent). The candidate must be an ambitious, energetic, motivated self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast moving corporate environment. Whilst the position will be based in Beijing, the role will require extensive travel throughout China as and when required.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

The successful candidate will be fully responsible for and drive all aspects of the finance function across all businesses in China.
Oversee the financial management of all strategic and operational aspects of an ambitious and aggressive growth strategy for the Groups China division. This will include driving growth both organically and by acquisition, in conjunction with the China CEO.
Ensure full integrity of all aspects of the financial information reported both locally and to Group Headquarters in Ireland,
Attendance at Board Meetings and detailing financial performance against budgets and other key metrics,
Ownership and responsibility for developing operating budgets and delivery of cost effectiveness and agility.
Key focus on cashflow management and measuring ROI across various investment metrics.

Providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that financial commitments are met and all policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control are developed and maintained.
Provide management and leadership within the business to ensure the required standards are consistently achieved. Ensuring best practice is adhered to in all financial processes while ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Own the entire budget for China in conjunction with the China CEO,
Provide advice and guidance regarding how to work within the financial framework of the organisation,
Maintain strong working relationships with banks, external and internal auditors.

Ensure timely escalation and proper communication to China CEO and Group CFO,
Ensure compliance with all legal and taxation laws in China,
Management of an extensive and experienced Finance team across multiple locations,

Person specification:-
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with at least 5/7 years PQE,
Chief Finance Officer in a medium to large sized company who is looking for a fresh and exciting new challenge;
Experience of working a diverse overseas environment would be a distinct advantage,
Working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is desirable but not essential,
Must be used to taking a high level of independent responsibility and decision making on a day to day basis with a high degree of personal accountability,
Must be analytical and able to synthesize complex or diverse information.
Be prepared to travel extensively,
Be able to work on their own initiative,
Significant management and commercial experience (including staff management, HR processes and IT systems),
Managing finance function within a large sales oriented organisation.
Experience working as part of a senior management team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage, lead and motivate other supervisory personnel.
Ability to plan and prioritize work activities and use time efficiently.
