Regional CEO – Saongroup China

Saongroup.com China employs approximately 780 staff with regional recruitment websites operating in a number of markets including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Zhuhal, Hefei, Qingdao, Foshan, Hulzhou and Wuhu all reporting to China Group Head Office in Beijing.

The business is undergoing a rapid expansion which will see the business enter 72 new cities across china in the next 30 months. As part of this Saongroup.com is now seeking to appoint a Regional Managing Director to drive all aspects of the business across a number of cities in China.

This is an extremely exciting and challenging role in one of China’s fastest growing and most successful on-line companies.

Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and direction for regional business operations
• Maintain full P&L responsibility for the company, and achieve or surpass sales and financial targets.
• Develop a strategic plan to grow the business in collaboration with the senior management team
• Establish performance goals which are aggressive, real and tied to overall company strategy and goals.
• Monitor departmental performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being made and corrective action, if necessary, is taken.
• Manage a team of Regional Sales Directors.
• Represent the company in establishing and continuously growing relationships with business partners, customers and vendors.
• Attract, develop, motivate and retain staff, deploy them in an effective manner, and ensure effective succession planning is in place.

Person specification:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in an executive level leadership role, preferably encompassing call centre, start up and/or online sales industry experience.
• BS or BA in Business Management, MBA and/or other certification a significant plus.
• Experience in online recruitment, media or recruitment industries a distinct advantage.
• A strong track record in a senior management role in a high growth organisation and industry.
• Client focused, with a proven track record of success in driving sales and profits, and in building and developing teams of highly performing sales professionals.
• Track record of improving the profitability and value of a firm or business unit in a senior leadership position, with demonstration of expertise in industry concepts, practices and procedures.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to work on his/her own initiative.
• Demonstrated experience in building large teams and growing companies.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong ability to work in high-pressure situations, and excellent business acumen.

Fluency in Mandarin and affinity with the market in China is an advantage, but not essential.

This position reports directly to the Group CEO in China.

This is an extremely exciting and challenging role in one of China’s fastest growing and most successful on-line companies.

Responsibilities:

Management of Sales Management Function in each group company to ensure targets are achieved
Implementation and review of tactical and strategic sales initiatives
Regular communication with Regional Managing Director updating on sales figures.
Analysis of KPI’s
Participate in cross-functional meetings on strategic issues
Competitive Analysis and market trends investigation.
People management of large sales team.
Set up succession planning within sales team.
Set up and manage sales forecasting and reporting techniques
Segmentation of regional or industry targets markets per sales team
Implement and improve and monitor motivation techniques for sales team
Manage sales budget
Improve customer relationship management practices
Contribute resources and input to sales training
Interview and hire sales executives alongside HR

Person specification:

Minimum of 3 years experience in a management role encompassing call centre, wholesale and/or online sales industry experience.
Experience in call centre, online recruitment or media a distinct advantage.
Client focused, with a proven track record of success in driving sales and profits, and in building and developing teams of highly performing sales professionals.
